| Background The company business was founded by the late
Dimo Galiungi in 1964. Soon after his arrival in Australia, he was quickly recognised by
the Legal community for his extensive linguistic and cultural knowledge which expanded
over seven (7) languages. Having obtained his Law Degree from France he practiced as a
Solicitor in Egypt and Europe, with linguistic skills and legal background he soon found
himself responding to requests for interpreting and translation services.
The
demand for his services and range of languages continued to grow. As a result of this a
PANEL of accredited practicing interpreters
and translators was established, creating one of the very first private language service
providers in NSW. He commenced trading as Dimo Galiungi &
Associates, as the business expanded and demand for translations increased another trading
name was used namely Associated Translators & Linguists.
The company Associated Translators & Linguists Pty Ltd was
registered in 1984 and the trading name Dimo Galiungi and Associates was incorporated in
the above company.
